1901 Evening Gown of Tulle & Taffeta

The skirt of this dress is made of pink taffeta in 12 gores, and is put on an underskirt of white taffeta edged with a flounce of pleated gauze, decorated with a ruche with the flounce serving to maintain the trimming of the overskirt.  English translation and original French instructions included.

This costume, made in navy blue Cheviot wool, is composed of long bloomers and a blouse opening up on a shirt front in striped blue and white jersey.  The costume is complete by a collar in blue fabric decorated with white stripes and a tie made of black silk.  English translation and original French instructions included.

1900 Tailored Suit of Striped Piqué

37 Bust - 25.5 Waist

Our first model is of striped cotton piqué and is made with an adjustable skirt with a pleat in the back.  The short jacket, is prolonged in front to form flaps and adorned with pearl buttons.  One completes the suit with a great collar and cuffs, lapels in white cotton piqué buttoned on the dress and a straight collar in white batiste with lace insert and ended by a belt.

The corset covers worn by the ladies sitting on the ottoman are featured in corset covers worn by women with mature figures which did not need padding to create the fashionable S-shape.  The standing lady is wearing a corset cover with a ruffle down the front which adds fullness without padding.
