1912 Brown Wool Dress w/White Inserts

35.5 Bust - 23.5 Waist

This model was made in reddish brown wool and was trimmed in white down the front and around the bottom and with a lace collar.  English translation and original French instructions included.

The costume illustrated was of crushed strawberry colored linen, edged with folds of white, and trimmed with some white cord embroidery on the fronts and back of the jacket and around the bottom of the skirt.  Pattern consists of vest, jacket and skirt.

White canvas cloth was the material of this seaside costume, which is trimmed with a narrow stitched fold of the same material.  Pattern consists of bodice and skirt.

1898 Étamine Gown w/Insertions

38 Bust - 26 Waist

Gray Étamine was the material of this gown, trimmed with black lace insertions which are under laid with white taffeta ribbon.  These insertions are set down the front and back of the waist and skirt in continuous lines, and also form three curved bands around the skirt, the lowest of which heads the attached flounce. The waist has a square plastron of cross-tucked white taffeta, with a collar of the same, which is trimmed with bows and rosettes of white chiffon.  It has large revers made of white taffeta covered with rows of lace insertion, and the tops of the sleeves are folded in cross pleats which are covered with lace insertions. Pattern consists of plastron, bodice and skirt.

Yardage - 7 yds 44" wide, 20 yds lace insertion

Dress with high neck and close sleeves of black grosgrain.  Marie Antoinette fichu of the same material trimmed with a quilling of black silk.  Scarf mantilla of heavy black corded silk.  Pattern consists of waist, skirt, fichu and mantilla.
