1929 Evening Kimono w/Design

Size A 30-34, Size B 36-40, Size C 42-46, Size D 49-55 Bust

This beautiful kimono from 1929 is the perfect pattern to unite the style of the 1920s with the fabrics and embellishment techniques of today! The pattern includes the stitching design depicted in the illustration. Although originally intended for Trapunto (Italian quilting: padded quilting with the design in high relief, outlined with single stitches) think what could be done with the quilting and embroidery technology available today. The sky is the limit! Or one can always skip embellishment and go straight to the fabric. Any burned out velvet, printed velvet or sheer would show up perfectly in these simply shaped pattern pieces. Front, sleeve and bottom bands frame the kimono into wearable art or just a really great garment. Finished length for the kimono for all sizes is 42”.
