This hooded cape was of white cashmere, lined with a thin layer of wadding and white silk.  The trimming consists of narrow black velvet ribbon and black lace.

1868 Sack for Girl 12-14 Yrs

32 Chest

This sack was made of light gray ladies cloth, cut bias, and was bound and trimmed with narrow folds of gray satin, which are stitched on with white silk.  Buttons of gray satin in front, at the sides, and on the lappets of the sleeves finish the trimming.  The sack is fastened by means of hooks and buttonhole stitched loops.

30 Chest - 22 Waist

Brown mixed wool, with gilt braid and gilt buttons, was the material of the frock illustrated.  The skirt is lined with cambric and gathered to the waist with a belt with a gilt buckle covering the junction.

This little frock was of white Nainsook, trimmed with insertion and embroidery.  The little summer cape shown was made of white piqué, trimmed with two rows of insertion and a narrow edging.

The coat illustrated was made of brown plaid woolen.  It has a cape which is draped on the left shoulder trimmed with fringe. The skirt is cut separately and joined to the waist par, with the seam concealed by a cord girdle.

1891 Blue & White Frock for Girl 6-8 Yrs

26 Chest

Blue and white plaid wool was the material of this little frock in the model, with embroidery for collar, plastron and cuffs, and dark blue ribbon belt and bows.  The skirt is straight with a deep hem at the bottom; it is joined to the bottom of the waist, with the joining covered by a twisted ribbon belt, with a bow at the side.

1888 Blue Serge Frock for Girl 9-11 Yrs

26 Bust - 24 Waist

This Princesse frock for a girl was of Gobelin blue serge; it is feather stitched with blue silk, and has an anchor embroidered in blue and gold colored silk on the front of the plastron.  The cord girdle with tasseled ends covers the joining of the skirt to to the waist part.

1892 White & Blue Sailor Dress for Girl 3-5 Yrs

22 Chest - 19 Waist

This little frock can be made either of serge or flannel; it is partly white and partly navy blue.  The skirt, which is sewed to the bodice, is of blue serge and is bordered with a white serge box-pleating and is surrounded with two rows of white Hercules braid.  I is ornamented with a ribbon bow and an embroidered anchor.

This apron was made of blue spotted cambric, with blue embroidery for trimming.  The straight skirt is hemmed at the bottom and the upper edge is gathered and joined to the corded lower edge of the waist.
