Waist
This coat waist, which was worn with a
black satin of Peau de Soie skirt, was made of striped brocade with a cream
ground, with revers of dark green grosgrain and a pointed vest of white and
gold embroidered silk.

Bust - 24 Waist
The jacket illustrated was of biscuit
colored cloth, with light brown soutache braiding. The braid is put in
rows on the seams and edges, forming scrolls at the back and side and on the
sleeves. The front is frogged and buttoned in military fashion.

Cashmere or summer fabrics with the vest in white piqué for printed muslin
dresses or light material, in taffeta for dresses of wool, silk or material
of fantasy. The jacket in the model is of doubled Florence.

This jacket corsage forms part of a
combination costume of plain gray serge with black, white and gray
plaid wool. The cut-away fronts meet on the bust only, opening with
revers above and sloping outward below from a plaid vest. The revers
are faced with plaid goods, and the cuffs and the front part of the collar
are plaid. The back has a long square postilion.
