This short mantle was made of wide repped black silk.  It has pointed cape sleeves, which are edged with lace along the front and terminate in a ribbon bow.  A square pleated plastron is in the front, and below the plastron are pointed satin lapel revers which are beaded with jet beads.  A pointed hood is in the back.

This short summer wrap was made of black striped grenadine under laid with black silk.  It has a high collar and a belt at the front with crossed ends of black velvet and was trimmed with black lace and jet tassels.

34 Bust

This short spring wrap was made of brown plush, line with brown satin and trimmed with a yoke shaped collar of brown bead passementerie.  The front is fitted by a dart and side form and the back has a short pleated postilion.  The cape or sling sleeves are in two parts which are joined across the lower edge and fastened to the neck at the top.

This mantle was made of figured brown crepe de chine.  The front is trimmed with folded scarves of plain brown crepe de chine, which form a pointed plastron, on the side of which is a velvet lapelled collar.  The velvet collar is deep and round at the back and meets in a point below the end of the plastron in front, where a clasp is place.  The pints in front are finished with tassels.

34 Bust - 27 Waist

This short mantle with Pelerine sleeves was made of black velvet with trimming of jet passementerie.  The passementerie is in a single piece forming a deep plastron which covers the entire back, sloping from the shoulder to the waist and two graduated bands that border the sleeves.  Jet tassels are fastened to the sleeves and to the ends of the tab fronts.
