Écru figured woolen and chestnut velvet are the materials of which this short wrap was made.  It was lined with satin, and edged with passementerie grelots.  The velvet vest fronts are gathered to a point and finished with a fringed passementerie ornament.

The wrap illustrated can be made of the material of a costume or of light cloth to wear as an independent wrap.  The model is of gray cloth to accompnay a dress of the same.  It is trimmed with deep pinked frills, one of gray over one of black, headed by black ribbon which is caught together to form a puff at intervals, and terminates in a bow in the back.  Another bow is placed at the throat and short bows at the ends of the tab fronts.

The model illustrated was of black bengaline silk with black silk passementerie.  The pointed sleeve forms are covered with rows of black silk galloon, and edged with a drop fringe.  The narrow pointed plastron in the front and back and the collar are also covered.

This was originally made of brown taffeta, lined with silk and trimmed with bias silk folds of the same color.  Garment can be made in different lengths.  Pattern is in short style, but it can be lengthened.
