1891 Swedish Embroidery Rug

One Size

The ground for this rug, which is embroidered in Swedish style, is heavy dark blue cloth.  It is decorated with a border in a conventionalized flower design in which the blossoms are worked in tapestry wool with a blue of a lighter shade than the ground and pale terra-cotta, and the stems, scrolls, and foliage in shades of olive and dark bronze.

1914 Beaded Bag

11" wide x 7" high

This bag which is 11 inches wide and 7 inches high is worked entirely in pearls according to the drawing included.  The center is done in white pearls and the frame is done in brown pearls.  The bottom is fringed with a lace fringe of pearls and the bag is lined with white silk and attached to a gold purse frame.  English translation and original French instructions are included.

1913 Beaded Bag & Coin Purse

The two purses are embroidered in pearls matching the designs included.  The handbag is approximately 8 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches high and attached to a gold purse frame.  The design is outlined with gold pearls.  Both purses are lined with white or gray silk.  English translation and original French instructions are included.

1914 Embroidered Evening Bag

18" wide x 12" high finished

This evening bag is 18" wide and 12" high when finished and is made in cream or white linen.  The contours of the flap are edged in scallops.  The embroidery, a very decorative effect, is worked to the stuffed flat point.
