Turn of the Century Reception
Gown
Multi-Size 10-16
The princess cut reception gown is
deceivingly simple. The complicated construction is due to the
Valencienne lace overlay being encrusted with heavy needlework lace
below the knees, lark silk embroidery, appliqués at the waist, sleeves
and skirt and organza trim at the neck, wrist and hem. The
petticoat lining of silk taffeta is attached at the waist and back
edges. The skirt hem is finished with several rows of ruffles.
It fastens up the back with hooks and eyes. |

the sides with buttons or a drawstring at the back waist. They can

lace, ribbons and needlework. |

tailored and frilly styles of the Gay 1890's. The small gigot
