1891 Chene Wool & Silk Princess Gown

This princess gown was originally made of chene wool in heliotrope shades opening on a plastron and skirt front of heliotrope faille.  DOES NOT CONTAIN PATTERN FOR SKIRT OR PLASTRON.

1891 Peau de Soie Reception Dress

40 Bust - 26 Waist

The model illustrated was of changeable pink and gray Peau de Soie.  It is made with a demi-trained skirt and a coat bodice opening on a pleated vest of pale blue crape.  The foundation skirt was of lining silk and edged with knife pleating at the bottom.  The front and back edges of the coat are embroidered in gold thread, silk, and chenille, forming large scallops, underneath which a frill of lace is set.  Pattern consists of plastron, jacket, skirt and foundation skirt.

1891 Reception Toilette

The model illustrated was of Reseda green Peau de Soie, with coat bodice of  velvet of a darker shade, opening on a vest of cream white satin which is covered with chenille and ribbon embroidery in a variety of delicate tints.

Yardage - 10 yds dark fabric 50" wide, 2 1/4 yds light silk 45" wide, 3 1/4 yds velvet 45" wide
